Just Like You
Words & Music by William Hayden 2010 (c) (p) BMI
Suddenly I woke up and it’s a brand new day
I didn’t think you’d make me feel this way
I’ve been looking a long time for somebody just like you
I’ve been waiting a long time for you
I’ve traveled all around the world hoping to find
The better part of me and the hand that fits in mine
I’ve been waiting a long time to tell someone I love you
Now I’m thinking that someone is you
I’ve been looking a long time for somebody just like you
I’ve been waiting a long time for you
I’ve traveled all around the world just to find
Your shining smiling face and your hand holding mine
I’ve been looking a long time for somebody just like you
I’ve been waiting a long time for you
I’ve traveled all around the world just to find
Your shining smiling face and your hand holding mine
I’ve been looking a long time for somebody just like you
I’ve been waiting a long time for you
I’ve been looking a long time for somebody just like you
I’ve been waiting a long time for you

Free
Words & Music by William Hayden 2010 (c) (p) BMI
I want to go as far as my eyes can see
As far as my two legs can carry me
I just need to be where I can breathe
While my heart is young and I am
Free far from home, I’m free on my own
I want to go where the road takes me
There’s no other place that I want to be
I need to be where I can be me
Or anyone that I want to be
I'm free far from home, I’m free on my own
Sometimes the road can be lonely
Sometimes the nights can be cold
I guess that’s the price of the freedom
Some days I just feel so old
But I’m free far from home, I’m free on my own
I’m free far from home, free on my own
Sometimes my dreams come back to me
From the depths of my memory
There was a time when I was really free
I place where I could really be
Loved, I was loved, I was loved
I was free when I was home
I was free safe at home
I was free when I was home
I was free when I was home
Wish I could be free

Just the Thought of You
Words & Music by William Hayden 2010 (c) (p) BMI
So many days have come and gone, since I've been away from home
I've traveled all around the world just to find myself alone
I spent my nights alone just talking to myself
holding on to a dream in my mind with my heart up on the shelf
Just the thought of you was enough to help me through
Even before I knew you there was the thought of you
I've played the masquerade, I took my bow up on that stage
But when it came time to take off my disguise
There was nothing on the other side
Just the thought of you was enough to help me through
Even before I knew you there was the thought of you
Now that I see the road behind
I know you were with me all the time
Just the thought of you was enough to help me through
Even before I knew you there was the thought of you
Just the thought of you was enough to help me through
Even before I knew you there was the thought of you

Invisible Man
Words & Music by William Hayden 2010 (c) (p) BMI
If I’ve been keeping to myself
If I don’t have that much to say
It’s ‘cause I know that I just can’t stay
Tomorrow I’ll be on my way
My mind wants to be still
My heart longs to belong
But I don’t know if I ever will
You see I’ve been moving for so long
I’m the invisible man see me while you can
I’m here today but tomorrow I’ll be gone
I’m the invisible man
Well, I don’t use smoke or mirrors
But she seemed to see right through
Through this flesh and these bones
Right through the man she never knew
Be careful don’t get too near
I hide my heart in my sleeve
I’ll give it to you and then I’ll disappear
Oh, and then you will believe
I’m the invisible man just watch my slight of hand
I’m here today but tomorrow I’ll be gone
I’m the invisible man
I’ve been hiding in the rain
I don’t know how much longer I can last
Trying to find peace in the pain
And in the shadows of my past
I’ve been running from something
Something that I just can’t see
I’ve been running from something
Maybe I’m running from me
I’m the invisible man see me if you can
I’m here today but tomorrow I’ll be gone
I’m the invisible man
I’m the invisible man please see me if you can
I’m here today but tomorrow I’ll be gone
I’m the invisible man
I’m the invisible man see me if you can
I’m here today but tomorrow I’ll be gone
I’m the invisible man

Since You’ve Been Gone
Words & Music by William Hayden 2010 (c) (p) BMI
Yesterday just seems so long ago and today just seems so long
Tomorrow will never come since you’ve been gone
I spend my days just wasting time don’t know what else to do
Than to sit and close my eyes and think of you
Yesterday just seems so long ago and today just seems so long
Since you’ve been gone, Since you’ve been gone
Excuse me Mr. Sun, why do you have to shine
Why don’t you save your sunny days for another time
I seem to spend all my days in a world made of shades of grey
Without your shining face the world just looks that way
Yesterday just seems so long ago and today just seems so long
Since you’ve been gone, Since you’ve been gone
Since you’ve been gone
So many times I’ve asked myself why did you have to go
But I already know that I don’t want to know
Sometimes my heart still dreams of you and I wish that you were near
When I open up my eyes and you’re not here
Yesterday just seems so long ago and today just seems so long
Since you’ve been gone, Since you’ve been gone,
Since you’ve been gone, Since you’ve been gone

Your Love
Words & Music by William Hayden 2010 (c) (p) BMI
Did you know it’s you I think about
When I do it makes me smile out loud
All my friends say all I talk about
Is the love that I don’t want to live without
Only you can turn me inside out
When I see your smile or your cute little pout
What I feel is real and I have no doubt
That I never want to live without
Your Love, Your Smile, Your Laugh, Your Love
When you came along I was down and out
Trying to figure out what life is all about
Then you took my hand and you helped me out
You gave me something to sing about
Your Love, Your Smile, Your Laugh, Our Love

Movin' On
Words & Music by William Hayden 2010 (c) (p) BMI
I watched her in the mirror as I drove out of town
She made it oh so clear she didn’t want me around
Sometimes I still hear her voice and sometimes I see her face
I say she didn’t mean that much to me and someone will take her place
I’m movin', movin' on, Yes, I’m movin', movin' on
She thought my heart would break in pieces when she finally let me go
What I did with all those pieces I guess she’ll never know
Sometimes I have to tell myself that things can really change
My heart won’t skip a beat the next time I hear her name
I’m movin', movin' on, Yes, I’m movin', movin' on
There I go again, my mind wonders to that place
Where I can see her face, but I know that I can’t stay
I’m movin' on, movin' on, it’s alright
Time slips right through my fingers but the thing that I can’t grasp
Is that I can’t stop these voices and the pictures from my past
Now driving down the highway with two fingers on the wheel
I tell myself it’s over, but that’s not the way it feels
But I’m movin', I’m movin' on, Yes, I’m movin, movin on

Ordinary Man
Words & Music by William Hayden 2010 (c) (p) BMI
Another day, still lying in bed, searching for the strength to begin
Another day, going through the motions, tomorrow I’ll do it all again
I watch the days go by and I wonder, like watching sand through an hourglass
Seems like I’m either living for tomorrow, or I’m living in the past
I’m just an ordinary man, I hold my heart tight in my hand
I’m just an ordinary man, just want someone to understand
Some days it seems I’m running in circles, and sometimes I just can’t decide
I want to go in the right direction, but get lost in all my foolish pride
Yea, I get so lost without you, sometimes I’d call your name out loud
somehow I know you always hear me, though I feel like I’m lost in the crowd
I’m just an ordinary man, when I’m cut down to my soul
I reach out to take your hand, because I know you love will make me whole
I love the way that you love me, you hold me up when I can’t stand
And did you know that when you’re with me, I become more than I am
I’m just an ordinary man, oh, but when you hold my hand
I become more than I am, then I’m not just an ordinary man
Oh, yea, with you I’m superman

I Still Think of You
Words & Music by William Hayden 2010 (c) (p) BMI
I thought of you today
Seems so long ago and far away
I could see you smiling at me
Like a faded memory
Days go by and life goes on
Things have changed now since you’ve been gone
I still think of you and all the times we had
All the love we shared the good times and the bad
I still think of you I feel your hand in mine
I can’t believe that after all this time
I still think of you
This is not how I thought it would be
We had so many plans so many dreams
Though I’ve left them all behind
The pictures linger in my mind
You’ve given me so many sweet memories
You know you’ll always be a part of me
I still think of you and all the times we had
All the love we shared the good times and the bad
I still think of you I feel your hand in mine
I can’t believe that after all this time
I still think of you
Days go by and life goes on
Things have changed now since you’ve been gone
I still think of you and all the times we had
All the love we shared the good times and the bad
I still think of you I feel your hand in mine
I can’t believe that after all this time
I still think of you

This Road
Words & Music by William Hayden 2010 (c) (p) BMI
Walk with me down the road
Hold my hand and I won’t be alone
Watch with me as the road unfolds
When evening comes we’ll be safe at home
Stay with me let’s talk awhile
Let’s share our dreams, share our stories
I want to hear you laugh, just want to see you smile
There’s no one in the world but you and me
Nobody knows just what’s up ahead around the bend
Just look around we’ll never be here again
On this road
Walk with me down the road
Hold my hand and you won’t be alone
Let’s make our plans; let’s live our dreams
The road may be shorter than it seems
Nobody knows just what’s up ahead around the bend
Just look around we’ll never be here again
On this road, On this road
Nobody knows just what’s up ahead around the bend
Just look around we’ll never be here again
On this road, On this road, This road

“Then Peter came to him and asked, “Lord, how often should I forgive someone who sins against me? Seven times?” “No, not seven times,” Jesus replied, “but seventy times seven.” – Matthew 18:22
William Hayden has always been drawn to and influenced by music. Even at a young age when he built a guitar out of a cardboard box, rubber band and a broom handle, his love for music and the guitar was evident. Growing up in the sixties and seventies, he was influenced by the early rock, folk and blues music that has shaped the music world today. For several years after college, his music took a back seat while focusing on raising his family, and working through some deep personal loss. Through it all, his love for music and the guitar has always remained an important part of his life. Even more important has been his faith in God, which is revealed in his songs. He continues to hone his craft as a musician, composer and producer.
“With no major-label support, Bill ventures into new musical territory, exploring themes of personal growth in the context of the faith that has seen him through difficult times in his life. ‘This Road’ takes us down some of the roads he has traveled and is a record about common struggles and triumphs. The songs are earthy, genuine, and moving.”
